Now that wearing masks are rapidly becoming our new reality, people are becoming worried about the effects of wearing a mask. You may have seen videos and posts on your favourite social media platform discussing how wearing a cloth mask can make you ill from rebreathing the contaminants breathed out from your lungs. Articles from internet debunkers Snopes.com and PolitiFact safely put these claims to rest. 

As cases continue to rise globally, it’s becoming more and apparent that wearing a mask is good for you. 

In fact, a recent study by the world renown Canadian university Simon Fraser University has shown that wearing a mask can “significantly reduce the spread of COVID-19”.  One of the many findings from the study is that wearing a mask indoors can slow the spread of COVID-19.
